Hand-rolled Incense (sticks + cones)
DAILY RITUAL OR CEREMONIAL INCENSE.
These incense sticks and cones are hand rolled by me, I ONLY use powdered woods, resins, herbs. THERE ARE NO: fragrance oils/fake smells, fillers, or even essential oils in these blends.
✷Protect the Healer
Picture some ethereal temple, some place an elf would live/work/do laundry; it’s got big flowy curtains and what’s-her-name from LOTR is there. Liv Tyler. Yeah. There’s moss and waterfalls and then a breeze comes outta no where and this is the scent that gets carried through the carved out rock/castle/fortress. That’s this stuff. Protect the Healer.
Made with: Makko wood powder, Benzoin resin, Bayberry Root powder and Sandalwood powder. All herbs/resins,etc are organic and sustainably harvested or cultivated.
✷Life on Earth
A lot of people avoid Patchouli like the plague. They make fun of it, they laugh at the age old stereotypes of hippies adorned in tie dye and swirly tapestries talking about “everyone’s connected by quinoa” or something. BUT-I urge you to give it a second chance, maybe even a first chance. When used properly and in amounts that don’t equal to an elephant’s drink, it is a quite friendly olfactory scent. Most especially when blended lightly with other plants/woods/etc. I promise!
if you can, imagine freseh black soil, just turned over for planting. you reach down in awe; that’s where life is; right there in that soil. Another breeze comes (just like at the elf temple) and you smell the cool air mix with the warm dirt. Poetry and promises coming your way. That’s LIFE ON EARTH.
Made with: Makko wood powder, powdered Frankincense resin, and powdered Patchouli leaf
✷Temple
There’s lot going on with our olfactory system, I won’t pour out facts in a product description, but I need to just say that it is a really fascinating aspect of being human; our olfactory bulb is connected to the amygdala and our hippocampus which are emotion and memory respectively, which explains why scents can trigger vivid memories or emotions. Having relayed that; think of this incense as ways to travel, backward or forward or even inward in time. You’re here, grounded, at home, but you are also out in cosmic space. Receiving handfuls of marigold flower heads into your palms. You are comfortable.
It’s easy to type/say things about this scent, but you simply must smell it.
Made with: Makko wood powder, Australian Sandalwood powder, Palo Santo wood powder, and Myrrh resin powder.
NOTES:
These incense may only need to be burned halfway to fill an area with scent. See what suits you! Don’t overwhelm yourself, that puts people off incense, just burn it until you start to smell it, that’s my rule of thumb. Then save the rest of the stick/cone for another time! Never neglect incense or leave the house while incense is burning.
